The Learning Innovations Summit 2024 provides a unique platform for educators, researchers, and tech pioneers to come together and shape this transformation. We invite submissions related to:

  • AI and XR in education (School, VET, Higher Education, Adult Education)
  • AI and XR in professional and work-based learning
  • Integration of XR and AI in teaching and learning across the curriculum
  • Ethical considerations for using AI, XR and emerging technologies in education
  • Critical perspectives on digital learning
  • Technology and sustainability issues
  • Practitioner reflections on the use of digital tools
  • Gender issues for integrating emerging technologies in learning and development 
  • Case studies of implementations using a variety of tools (e.g. XR, AI, etc.)
  • Policy issues; Business applications of digital tools in learning in organisations
  • Other related topics will also be considered.
  • Papers

    Submit an abstract of your research paper on AI and XR in education to get a chance to present your final findings to an international audience at the LIS2024. Please check below for Publication Opportunities.

    Please follow the guidelines when making your paper submission:

    • Clearly indicate all authors’ names, titles and affiliations
    • Include main contact information
    • Include an abstract of 300 words

     

  • Symposiums/panels

    LIS2024 invites you to lead a symposium/panel session during the proceedings of the Summit. Through your symposium/panel, you will be allocated a 75 minute slot  to shed light on your chosen topic in the company of fellow colleagues in the field.  

    Please follow the guidelines when proposing a symposium/panel discussion:

    • Clearly indicate 3-4 presenters’ names, titles and affiliations
    • Include main contact information
    • Specify the field of study in which the author’s work is situated
    • Provide a short 300 word concept note/abstract of the symposium describing the theme and your approach as well as the theoretical, methodological and analytical frameworks employed.
    • Provide an abstract for each paper participating in the symposium (including authors’ names, titles and affiliations)
  • Lightning Talks

    The Summit offers you the opportunity to make a concise presentation of 5-7 minutes illustrating your work and perspective on the theme of the event. These rapid-fire talks will serve as a platform for you to present your insights and expertise to an audience of peers and professionals in the field. 

    Please follow the guidelines when proposing a lightning talk:

    • Clearly indicate your name, title and affiliation
    • Include your contact information
    • Indicate a title of your talk
    • Provide a short 300 word abstract of your lightning talk, describing the theme and the perspective you will be presenting

     

  • Posters

    LIS 2024 offers the opportunity to researchers, practitioners and organisations to illustrate their initiatives, work and findings through posters that will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition space. During the reception, the authors will be able to present and discuss their work with the summit attendees.  

    Please follow the guidelines when proposing a poster:

    • Clearly indicate your name, title and affiliation
    • Include your contact information
    • Indicate the title of your poster
    • Provide a short 300 word abstract of your poster, describing the theme and the perspective you will be presenting

     

  • Workshops

    Host a workshop to share research experiences and discuss methodological issues for your peers as part of the workings of the LIS 2024. 

    Please follow the guidelines when proposing a workshop:

    • Clearly indicate your name(s), title(s) and affiliation(s)
    • Include your contact information
    • Indicate the title of your workshop
    • Provide a short 300 word abstract of your workshop, describing the main theme, activities and perspectives you will be covering

Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All submissions must be submitted via correct submission form on the website. 
  • Submissions should be in English and formatted according to the event  online form.
  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
  • Accepted submissions will be notified by June 20, 2024, and presenters must complete their registration by July 12, 2024.

Publication Opportunities

  • All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere and submitted via correct submission form on the website. 
  • Submissions should be in English and formatted according to the event template.
  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit full papers to be considered for publication in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will be included in a special volume to be published by Springer. Full papers should be formatted using the instructions for authors to be provided after acceptance of the submitted abstract and should be submitted using the conference online submission platform.
